Brazil's Magic Squad clinched their first-ever world championship title at Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 during the grand finals held on November 26.
The Magic Squad team performed exceptionally well, scoring a total of 112 points with 3 Booyahs and 45 eliminations, bringing pride to their home country, Brazil. In addition to winning the championship trophy and USD 300,000 grand prize, each member of the Magic Squad was awarded a limited edition Champion ring and necklace set.
The recent win of Magic Squad is a significant achievement as it marks Brazil's second World Series victory, four years after Team Corinthians claimed the FFWS 2019 Rio championship title on their home ground. Despite facing tough competition from Team Thailand, Magic Squad, led by MGS BOPS7, emerged as the champions and brought home the FFWS championship title.
A word from the newly crowned FFWS 2023 Champion

Team coach Lucas Vinicius Silva Lemos "Luuking" said:
We came here to do our best, and we have witnessed so much growth throughout the entire tournament. Our goal is always the next tournament, and the team will remain focused on our calendar for 2024.
FFWS 2023 Grand Finals Highlights
The Grand Finals were filled with tough battles, and Thai teams Buriram United Esports and CGGG finished in second and third place with 95 and 89 points, respectively.
The World Series this year featured a new Point Rush Stage that gave participants headstart points in the Grand Finals. The top three teams that were leading from the beginning of the Grand Finals were able to take advantage of this. Teams that ranked fourth to eighth had very close point differences, with Indonesian team RRQ Kazu coming in fourth with 72 points. Even though Vietnam team WAG had only 2 headstart points when entering the Grand Finals, their determination led them to earn fifth place.
Expand, a Malaysian team, made a remarkable debut in the World Series Grand Finals of MCPS Free Fire esports. During the intense Point Rush battles on November 24, the team members displayed their tactical prowess by securing one out of six Booyahs and amassing impressive eliminations. The competition on Point Rush Day 2 was tough, but Expand demonstrated resilience and adaptability, setting the stage for their historic Grand Finals appearance. Although they finished 10th overall, Expand has much to be proud of for their inaugural journey to the world stage. The team has cemented its status as a formidable force in the MCPS (Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, Sri Lanka) region, ready to conquer new heights.
